Skyeler Tenopir
It was the first day of street ministry with Javier and Sylvia.
It was the most moving day for me.
There was a man who had been there for about 30 minutes and had had a few servings of food. He was very thankful.
I could see that he wanted to talk to somebody...
for some reason I thought i could do that on my own.
We began to talk about things that were out of my spanish league.
Thank the Lord for Evalyn! =)
She came over and spoke to him.
of what i could hear... he had a hard life.
He drank a lot. His girlfriend was in a rehab center... and he wanted to get help just like she was.
Evalyn told him that he could go with Javier and Sylvia, but he said he couldn't until he told his girlfriend where he wasby that time we had made our way over to the small median in the street. We sat there close to him.
He wanted to change. He said that he didn't like the life he was living. He was so ready to change.
Evalyn told him the gospel. She spelled it out beautifully for him. As she did about 5 more girls came around us. He wasn't distracted though... he was very focused on what Evalyn was saying. She asked him if we could pray for him. He said yes. So Evalyn asked me to pray. It was almost to much for my emotions to handle. When I started crying Evalyn took over. God really gave her the words to say! She was so strong and sincere!!!
I don't know if that man came back thursday (the next day Javier and Sylvia were going to be there) but i do know that God changed his life that day.
